“Pilates is not one size fits all and it should never be taught that way” - Joseph Pilates

The class setup
Exercises will challenge and improve mobility, stability and strength, increasing awareness of and reducing tension in the body and promoting better balance in body and mind.
Exercises are performed from a variety of start positions such as standing, lying on front or back, sitting, all fours, kneeling.
As a courtesy to your fellow class members, your prompt arrival for start of class is appreciated. Please turn off your mobile phone or switch to silent mode.
What your session will look like
Small equipment is sometimes used which can enhance movement, increase challenge, aid alignment and stability and increase focus such as resistance bands, small weights, toning circles, overballs.
Some equipment is provided, though you are encouraged to provide your own kit/equipment where possible. Sources can be provided on request.

What to wear & bring
Please bring your own exercise mat and a water bottle.
Please wear comfortable exercise clothing. *Ideally clothing should not be too baggy as it is important that I can see your body alignment and muscle engagement to offer accurate corrections.
We exercise barefoot or wear grippy-soled socks. Please don’t wear normal socks as these will cause you to slip.
